help please with yge 60 v4

Please I need some help I have just got a protos 500 with a yge 60 amp v4 esc but I can't get into the program mode when plugged in the esc just beeps at me 6 time continous I think this is a fault code but I can't reset it and it won't go in to program mode via stick programming can someone help please .

Hey, I use YEP esc's which are YGE clones. Ive never tried stick programming always use the program cards. I believe the YEP program cards are compatible with the YGE's (they look identical)

Hobbyking UK sells the card for less than a fiver: Hobbyking YEP ESC Programming Card (UK Warehouse) might be worth a try?

Fairly certain you need the prog card to reset the esc, 6 beeps is a start up failure code.
Just had it happen in mine, plug in prog card, power up and it resets, nothing else to do.

whatever you do remove the motor pinion before you do anything !!!!
not calling you an idiot , but even experts get hurt so play safe ;-)

i cant seem to find anywhere that has the prog card in stock , hobbyking says the yep will only work with yep esc . its just strange that it wont program via the tx the manual says fault codes can be reset by plugging in the batt and then disconnecting after certain beeps but this does not work either .

I think Hobbyking have put that so people dont try and use it on other esc's they sell (turnigy etc). If you look the card up on the international store Hobbyking YEP ESC Programming Card 2 people in the comments have said that they have used it with YGE's

yeah thanks rachel, i took the blades off and loosened the motor from main gear i have been had before like that and it hurts so l have learnt my lesson on that one .

yeah i did think that but i also thought that may the settings were different even if it did connect but for the sake of 6 quid im purchase one now and give it a go .

Well I can confirm the yep program card works with the yge 60 amp esc .
