  • Hobbywing 20a Skywalker ESC Question

    Hi All.
Decided my micro heli was too small to be really useful so just ordered a Copter X 250 as something I can travel with easy and fly in smaller spaces (compared to the 500 and 700) I have a 3GX unit im not using so the whole thing with 3 lipos was only 80 quid so thought I just had to give a clone a go for that price.

Got a 20a hobbywing ESC. I have some EC3 connectors I was going to use on the battery side. Maybe overkill but have in stock.

On the motor side I only have 4mm bullets in stock but was thinking why not just solder the wires straight on and not worry about plugs. Would make it fairly simple.

I guess just have to trial and error on the motor direction. I notice all the wires are black. My understanding is it doesn't matter which way you hook up but if motor direction is wrong just swap 2 wires?

    Cheers

Yes. Thats right. It does not matter witch wire goes where. If it spins in the wring direction you simply just swap any two wires.
