  • Thunder Power charger false peak

I had this issue with my old charger, but I accepted that possibly I didn't know what I was doing at the time. Now the new charger is doing the same thing.

    Essentially:
The charger has not been used for a few days.
I set a freshly used pack to charge at 2C.
The voltage peaks at 4.1v per cell, (24.6 for a 6S)
which causes the amps to reduce,
and the charge takes over 2 hours before I stop it.

I unplug the charger and plug it in again.
I put in another used pack leaving the settings at 2C.
    It peaks properly at 4.2v (25.2 for a 6S)
    reduces amps correctly
and is fully charged in 25 minutes.

Both chargers are the Thunder Power Dual (TP820CD) with the latest firmware (4.34). I've tried plugging the PSU (one of Coolice's) first, then the charger, as well as the other way round. I've checked the plugs on the PSU are plugged in properly.

It's so frustrating as I fly 2 packs, leave them on charge while I fly a third, have a cup of tea, get back expecting the packs to be done and they've only had half the amps put back. Complete waste of most my lunch break and it does it 3 out of 4 times.
