Cellpro PowerLab 6 fail

Can you help with the following issue. I used my Cellpro PowerLab 6 on Saturday with no issues. Came to use it again on Sunday, but the charger will not boot into the menu screen. All I have is a row of greyed out boxes on the display. I have tried to reinstall the firmware, but the software cannot open a com port.
