• Hirobo mh-10: Parts / info wanted

Hi Everyone,

I've just purchased a Just picked up an unflown and unstarted MH-10 from EBay!!
Found some parts on Karen Lee Hobbies website, but still need a rotor head mixing arm (Looks like model fell off a shelf)

The Part number is: 0408-002

Any ideas and actual stock would be well received - Google seems to find sites that had parts back in 2005!!
Also interested in any hints, tips, etc..

Many thanks Guys :friendly_wink:

Hi Lawrence,

Yes the model is now flying - but after a considerable amount of work.
Modern micro servos do not fit easily - adaptor plates are needed.
Also radio space is quite small - so the lipo and regulator are now on the rear gyro plate.
I use a small HiTec gyro mounted at the front.
I ended up with 3 airframes including a scale BK117 body - but I needed to put a new engine in the one oI chose to make flyable
I have fitted a cut down tail blade Shuttle tail rotor with an extended tail rotor shaft - apparently the one piece moulded tail rotor was not very good!!

Hope this helps

Hi John,

Thank you for your reply and info. I have only one set which did not have much luck.
Yes, original one piece tail blades is not very good indeed. for the tail, I have a cut down century swift tail boom, plus a swift + shuttle tail rotor hybrid.

I have stripped main gear with the OS .15 and am thinking if I should convert it to electric. Maybe will try thunder tiger electric main gear and pinion. Do you know anywhere I can get spare main gear for this heli?

Any photos/ video of your MH-10 BK 117 flying?

Cheers.

Regards,
Lawrence

Hi Lawrence,

I can probably sort out a main gear for you - but I think the electric conversion would be a good idea.
The heli is low powered - especially with the OS Scale type muffler which uses a 90 degree adaptor
The handling is poor too in windy conditions - I'm going to try some Aligh TRex 500 blades
Best Regards
