Motors options

Hi all

I have bought myself a plastic version 550 a couple of months ago to to build up ready for the summer.I am now at the point where Im after a suitable motor.I have looked at the tonic-x z20a but cannot find anywhere that has these in stock.I have been asking around and for my style of flying a Gaui 855502 1500W-k1100 motor would possibly work.Has anyone got any other suggestions for motors as Im trying to keep to about £50 as I still need an ESC to match what ever motor I eventually end up with.

There is a nice 1500W-k1380 motor from sportsmoto. I beleive the brand is Sonic, MikeJ on here has used it and he assures me it's the business

One motor that comes to mind is the Hacker A40 10L ET. I used one on an Outrage 550 with 6s 5000 packs and it worked very well. I think the Gaui is a good bit lighter so with the right size LiPos you should have good flight times.

Mak, you need to tell us what your style of flying is, which gears you've got fitted and whether you already have any batteries that you want to be able to use.

Thanks for the replies guys. Motor is sorted now.I ended up buying a Turnigy 3025 850kv motor for it about 10 - 12 month ago,still going strong. If it helps anyone Im also using turnigy nanotech 3300 mah batts 45c coupled with a 42t front main 61t rear main 20t OWB and a 15t pinion which gives me 4.5 mins of easy/sedate flying [video=youtube;8zeke3NWznM]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zeke3NWznM[/video]
