Looks interesting, nice to see a fully user serviceable swash, but I hope it goes together accurately.

I do wonder why they left the user to drill the boom though, seems like something that would be easy to do on a jig and thus make sure all booms have the hole in the right place?

The Century Predator had a thrust bearing on the main shaft. I don't know if it was part of the reason it was excellent at autos even though it was heavy (mine was a gasser).

Are there any weight specs on the 766? They say 'low disc loading' in the description but I didn't see weights listed anywhere.

My 15 to 20 year old X cell 60 had those thrust bearings on main shaft!

Meh, £850 for a mass market kit? Seems a tad excessive IMO.

Is it mass market though Phil, I would say cottage industry high end and probably worth the price tag for the design and limited production runs

Not many, you'll see James flying one, you'll see Rob Bingham flying one, George will and maybe one or two more and that will be about it. They're not mass market and not that many club fliers can afford to 3D or sport fly 2 grands worth of carbon and aircraft alloy heli.

Synergy despite their claims earlier in the year don't and can't compete with the likes of Align

The 766 is basically the same price as the Goblin 700 KSE, is only £75 dearer than a Goblin Comp Carbon (both come with blades I know) and SAB have sold a hell of a lot of them. The N7 and NX7 are both £700 kits to buy but there is also loads of those sold so £850 for an up to 800 size (depending on how you choose to run it) high quality heli isn't that silly so there is plenty of people that are prepared to pay £600-£900 for an airframe.

If they get the parts availability sorted, which I'm sure they will, then I think you'll see more of them than you think this year.

As for seeing Rob Bingham fly one, ha ha good one Dave!
