  • Possible change of model

I moved this question from another thread as it got lost in some 'back biting' about who knows better than who and who's entitled to what opinion
I asked the following question about TREX ...
Is the 500 ever going to be made in a kit that wont involve a motor/esc gyro etc as I have a very blinged up Robbe Eolo that has ...
a Hacker C40 9L - with a matching Hacker ESC and a Ubec + a decent HH Gyro and a good digital tail servo. Also some good FP 2500mah EVO20 11.1v Lipos.
I'm looking to use all the electrics and stuff from the Eolo in something else due to very tight budget.

Now I know the answer is probably going to be no .......

So the next question is .....if not a 500 then what other recent design heli that's Eolo/Trex 500 size is available as a bare kit that I can move my Eolo stuff into...

Eolo is 880 rotor diameter - 720 length and 190 tail rotor - carbon main and tail blades - belt drive tail upgrade - all alloy swash and head.
But she's tired and I'm tired of her and I need a new plaything to get me back into helis a bit but I just don't have the budget to re-kit another heli completely

3dx-500 (Robgt reviewed one at trextuning)

hurricane 550 (cralis has one) trexmad sell them a little bigger, 30 size.

ARK 500 (same size as trex500) is definitely available without motor etc - trexmad.co.uk and suits a tight budget.

Hirrobo lepton (expensive, 3Dx 500 is a copy)

I bet one of the shops would split the trex500 kit without motor and esc as pretty soon folks will be blowing those up and want spares.

Hey wheres that back biting thread?

Maybe if you give Skyline a call they would sell a kit only,i am sure they do this option with the 600E,i may be wrong but its gotta be worth a call

OOOppss now I've seen other posts where people here are saying they wouldn't touch ARK products

Is there EVER any agreement here or does everyone just justify what they are used to and diss the rest

                Dave,

I have an ARK X400. I am not a stick banger when it comes to my flying and there are plenty of people out there who are better than me.

However, the X400 does me very nicely thankyou, and I often get comments about how smoothly it flies.

IMO, the only problem with ARK was the prat who had (or still has?) exclusive rights to official UK imports, and to be honest if he still has exclusive rights it is enough of a reason that I wouldn't buy another ARK heli.

Purely because of him, I bought mine as a grey import from Andrew Man of Heliaddicts. He was a great guy to do business with, but has long since stopped.

Oh come on Dave, that's just the internet, it's not exclusive to this forum. If you want somewhere where you get one answer from blind sheep bleeting out what they have been told then go look on Bunryder :P
