I know there's not many Eolo flyers out there ....but this conundrum I have might be solved by some other make of heli that I don't know anything about!
I originally had a standard wire drive tail complete with a CNC actuator arm - tail blades on the left looking from the back to the front - then I upgraded to a belt drive tail buying a second hand system complete with a plastic actuating arm fitted and this one has the tail rotors on the right. Everything was perfect - it flew much better
Then last week I snapped the tail actuator arm off at the tail actuator bridge end
So I thought - no problem - I ordered a new plastic arm from Midland S5075 - and Robert's Your Father's Brother. See attachment pic.
BUT - when it arrived I soon realised I have a problem - its backwards ! In that the stock one pictured here is obviously meant for the wire drive tail with tail blades on the left - looking from above - and I need the arm that connects to the tail to come out of the other side of the boss for tail blades now on the right.
So in the picture if we say the servo arm is at 3 oclock and the tail arm is at 12 - I need the tail arm to come out at 6 - Thought - in my naivety I could just turn it over - nope that don't work
Now here's the real pi$$er ... The actuator arm I broke when held against the stock one looks EXACTLY the same - but reversed .... except for one very small detail ... there appears to be evidence that there were 2 arms and the other one has been cut off. Straight away I began to think .. modified servo arm .. as that's what it would have looked like before it was cut ... but then I realised it is too big for that - and of course that would have meant 3 arms !!
SO - cut to the chase - looking at the stock part pictured here - does anyone know of an actuator arm that looks similar on another heli but the other way round that I could use instead?? Plastic or CNC ???
