  • Problem when installing FBL upper cup

This morning I got my parts to convert my veto 50 fb head to fbl. When I tried to install the new fbl upper cup to the swash and tightened it up the center coller which goes over the shaft was really stiff.

The only way I could get it moving freely was to undo the m2 bolts slightly. Will this be OK or do they have to be done up tight?

I had the same problem when I had my V90. What I did was to take the swash apart and you'll see that there are two nylon liners that the swash ball sits in. Basically they are too tall and as you screw in the M2 bolts, it quashes out the nylon liners and they then grip the swash ball. All I did to solve the problem was to file down, using a small flat file, the top of the nylon liners where they meet together. It takes some time, but worth the effort. You have to make sure that the M2 bolts are tight though!
