OK, and the solution for the glitches is: Put some (silicon) grease on the belt.
The problem is that under load, one side of the belt gets slack. And it interlocks with the other side within the tail tube.
BTW I just realized that I've been flying the 550 flybarless head now for many flights without ever changing dampers. This is a much better design than the original head!
