Just been given a heads up on a problem with the one way bearing on the new 690sx, here is a copy of the thread.

please take note:


One way bearing LOGO 690 SX
We have discovered that the one way bearing of the LOGO 690 SX does not comply with Mikado Model Helicopter’s quality standards and durability. The one way bearing can fail in flight. We are working on a solution together with the supplier. We recommend to stop flying the LOGO 690 SX until further notice.
Please send an e-mail to einkauf (at) mikado-heli (dot) de giving your contact details, so we can ship out a replacement once it is available.

im sure they will send out new ones just as soon as they have sorted the problem.

Now that's what I call after sales service. Just emailed them and with in 5 minutes had an email back asking for address to send new part out in 10-14days. No questions or proof of purchase. Well done mikado

It's all just a PITA though mate, I'm just building a replacement 600sx and found I've got a 690 boom, Boom Supports and Tail Control Rod in my kit, now got to wait for Mikado to send the correct ones out to me.

first flight test with new prototypes were very succesful.
Production sample tests will follow shortly and if everything is OK we will ship new OWB within the next weeks.


Sorry for any delay, but this time we will check again and again and again.

so it seems all in order, I asked if just sport flying would be ok, but they have had auto hubs fail in hover, so that's good enough for me to keep mine grounded until new part arrives.

Nice little surprise when I got home yesterday, my new OWB turned up direct from MIKADO Germany.
In the pack you get a new beefier OWB HUB, which is 2 bearings, one one top of the other and a brand new bottom bearing support, which again is a lot more beefier and you loose the bottom circlip holding it onto the min shaft. Only took 10 mins to fit in all, so looking forward to flying at the weekend. I must say, what great service from mikado, a little longer than was estimated, but I'm happy.
