  • Blade 450X and Telemetry with TM1000

This morning I installed a TM1000 telemetry module on the 450X. I did search for others that had done this but there is very little info out there int he web as to what others have done so I had to work it out myself.

I velcro'ed the TM1000 module in to the space immediately under the main gears and immediate aft of the ESC. There is a space that is the perfect size for the module to be installed across the heli with the sockets for the sensors on the RHS.

My batteries use XT60 connectors but the heli comes with EC3 on the ESC so I soldered up a converter and also soldered on the voltage sensor wires into the converter so it can all be removed easily.

So after having installed everything and bound the TM1000 along with the AR7200BX I then just used a few cable ties to tidy it all up.

Works a treat! Now I can get an accurate battery voltage reading once I have landed and that will mean I will know whether another flight is possible or time to change batteries. It also confirms battery state of charge everytime I go to take off.

I am not going to bother wil the RPM or temp sensors for now but might add them later if I think they will be useful.
