Looking at this thread deans is the winner! I'd say they should be fitted by default, and if someone has got a different preference only they will need to solder, whereas at the moment 100% people need to solder!

    Hand now feeling better

While I would personally agree (Deans by default), that's only because I consider them to be the best connector. Not everyone agrees... but they're wrong of course

The problem with your statistic is that it is based on the small handful of people who have posted on this thread, and not a larger sampling of model fliers where, I almost guarantee you, Deans connectors won't be the majority... shocking as that seems!

For example, I bet PowerPoles are used more in the US than Deans connectors.

I'm glad your hand is feeling better though

I prefer corally connectors myself as they are more sturdy than deans, plus you dont have to have positive and negative jointed together so in a car your wiring runs can be shorter.
However they are a pain to solder... they make deans look like childsplay

Aren't they just bullet (banana) connectors?

Yes they are, but they work very well if you solder them properly. You only have problems if you want to use larger than 12awg wire.
