  • Woohooo - first flp

    Hi all,

after about 8 months (I think) I finally thought sod it and did a flip, I've been trying to build up the nuts on many occasion but just kept thing I'd trash it...

So thought bugger it today, did some gentle FF away from me, pulled back on the stick, changed the pitch to negative and she just sat there upside down, beautiful!

Did it a few more times and to be honest I don't know what I was worrying about, I've been flying around in 8s, FFF etc and its definitely given me enough confidence and knowledge to pull me out of trouble when its high enough.

Only pain was when I landed it was on some uneven ground and I had a blade strike, so the feathering has bent a bit...of to LHS (run out of spares) then back up tomorrow!

Hope everyone else is enjoying this beautiful weather, its been too too long

Nice one - I remember that "oh sod it" feeling just before my first flip - about a month ago - and the satisfaction when it worked!

tried stall turns with my instructor today - need to do some work because he had to rescue it a couple of times!!!

Well done though - the balance between too little and too much confidence is fine!!
