    Me again

So I'm working on getting my nitro tuned correctly at the moment, its a 700N DFC with OS105.

Im using my temp gun but its only ever reading like 40 degrees on the side of the engine so i'm completely ignoring that now and going by ear/ look.

So far I am half a turn out on the mid and about 1 & 1/8th out on the high. The low is about where it came out of the box.

It flies lovely for spool up and in a hover and for the most part, but when tic-tocing I still feel like its really quite rich, but I don't know if im expecting too much power out of it? Added to this, it does sometimes seem to stutter when just flying around. I'm thinking this is just air bubbles in the fuel? But it has only really started doing this since i started to try and lean out the high end. I dont want to lean any further if im damaging it. If i richen, the stuttering improves but the power gets worse.

If I tic toc using like 2/3 collective max then its not too bad, the head speed doesn't drop too much. However if i'm really really agressive with it (like, full pitch stabs) it drops really badly. Theres reasonable amounts of smoke coming out of it, and when i reduce the load it recovers really quickly and I get a big puff of smoke out of the exhaust as it does. This is telling me that its loading up with fuel and once the load is off its spitting it all out making the smoke? What im not sure about is if this means its still too rich or if its just never going to be able to maintain head speed in this way.

Should I keep going leaning it gradually or just leave as is? Because Im used to high powered electrics I dont know if Im just expecting too much? The head speed holds perfectly fine in a full pitch ascent from standing still, good trail of smoke and a bit of an extra puff of smoke with a quick head speed recovery when i go back to hovering pitch. However, with really agressive tic tocs it still feels like it wants to basically stall! After testing doing tic tocs pretty constantly for 15-30 seconds and landing the backplate is fairly hot, slightly uncomfortable to touch but it doesnt burn - you can keep your finger in there, however it is cold out so this isnt helping as my hands are colder.

Optipower 20%, OS#8 plug and the thin shim in the engine.

Thanks in advance, and sorry to keep asking loads of questions!
