I dont like its weight and complex wiring and 3 batteries on board ,I suppose I'm still enamoured with my 550

What size lipo's are you using?

I've got to agree with bladebreaker, I much prefer my 550 (it's even a old v1 although not standard anymore). Seems to have more power, is more nimble and just an all round great flyer. So much so I'm thinking of ditching the 600 pro (and it's got a vbar on it). To be honest I've not given it enough flights to truly compare (it's probably only done 10), but the 550 feels so much better I can't be bothered giving it the chance. lol

To be honest that is exactly how i felt. But i had it running on 4400's. Changed them for a set of Opti 3500's and it really brought the weight down and made it a lot lighter in the air. I was also using it without the governor set up..... got it set up with a hs of 2350 and it came alive big time power wise. I now find it has more power than my 550 v2.

Both great helicopters though.

I fly with 3300mah 30c packs governed through a Jive 80HV. I'm not saying it isn't powerful, far from it in fact, I just prefer the characteristics of the 550. One of the fellow flyers, who really can fly these things like they are meant to, thinks it is a great bird to fly. Lots of power and nimble when you want it to be. He sold his 550 as he just didn't like the way it flew. Another flyer has never had a 550, but he is also considering selling his 600 pro (he flies his on 3000mah, but reckons that is a bit too light). Same again he just hasn't got on with it.

I think helis come down to personal preference most of the time. It's not just the heli but the setup as well. I might love my 450, 500 or 550, someone else may try them and think they fly dreadful. That's the good thing about this hobby, there is so much choice...!

Im using 4 sets of nanotech 3300 45 - 70 c and a couple of turnigy 50c 3300s .Oh the 3rd battery I refer to is the receiver pack @ 2s 4400 30c
