  • OMG almost epic fail

At the field and have just taken a new set of opti packs for their first spin in the 600pro. 5min of slow flying and nose training all went to plan. As I was unplugging the packs from the esc the black wire from the esc to one of the pack ec5's just fell out! I very nearly had auto practice with very low headspeed and no height whatsoever. So glad that I went for a separate reciever pack. Need to have a look at all my solder joints now. Still have the 550 with me and its getting a beating

I very nearly crashed my MCPX into some cow shit today, if it makes you feel any better!

Hah, seriously though, lucky catch. If it hadn't have fallen out if might have only loosened and come out while flying!

Whoops! Get some fresh solder in there and heat it with a soldering iron or mini blow torch until you see it begin to wick up the wire, then you know you have a decent "wet" joint

Very Lucky, although I think I've had dumber moments.

One time I soldered the EC3 connector onto my lipo, plugged it into the ESC, BAMMM! The ESC burnt out and the battery started smoking .. why?? .. soldered the EC3 connector around the wrong way

Put 4 packs through my newly converted flybarless 450 today, only problem was I kept on flipping inverted in normal not idle up! Rescued it 3 times ok, 4th time went in but only did the main gear! It could've been a lot worse especially from 10 feet up!
