I think the initial costs are lower but the run costs are higher, so like if you buy a 700 align elec and a few batts you might spend £1200, you buy a .90 size gasser it might only cost 7-800.

However, if you then fly both heli's 200 flights (without crashing) the 700 wont really cost anything except maybe a few bearings. the .90 though will cost a fair bit in fuel...

Added to that you can stay up the field all day if you want to, your not limited on how many flights

Well it is your garden and your heli. Calculate the risk involve and according to what your assessment will be, then decide wether to hover or not.
