I got short 700e balls on my inner swash on the 600efl and get 86 so it should be good,i know a few 550 pilots who only get 72-74 and they say their machines fly great

If there was a DFC head with NO dampening then i might consider getting one
I think the Same thing for the likes of the TDR.

the only concern i have is reading posts on the 700DFC head already people have had boom strikes

the lower the head the closer the boom you are that put me off a little although looks real nice

from what I found here it appears to be a combination of a more flexable carbon boom and a lower head = bad combination.

I wnt be hard 3d flying for a long time and am seriously considering this one day.

Interestingly the 600 Pro already has a low stance on the head but obviously lower still if a DFC mast was fitted.

The 550 has quite a high head as stock and even with a dfc mast which obviously must allow the head to clear the anti rotation bracket, the blades are no closer than the stock fbl 600 Pro head and that does not suffer with strikes.

Factor this in with the fact the 550 is running the shorter blades 520mm i dont think striking is a risk in this application.

Have removed the old head from mine and prepared the V2 grips, when i fit the head tomorrow i will compare it and see where we stand.

could I not sell my current head for someone wanting to convert to FBL? or is there no market for this? with the 600 shaft wont I need to change the main bearings? as its 12mm shaft not the 550 10mm

Looking forward to seeing pics of it fitted. Only think I don't like of the 550 is the tall mast.

                                10mm shaft just shorter.

Will stick a side on piccie up when fitted, the 600 Pro looks so sleek from the side with its lower head design, the 550 looks too tall.
