  • 600efl magnetic canopy mounts

After reading on another forum, I bought a set of Quick UK 700e magnetic mounts and they fit perfectly. Getting the canopy off and on this heli is a pain, but not anymore.

Apologies if this is old news, but I couldn't see my canopy lasting long on this bird due to the stress you put it under pulling it off the grommets every flight.
    Cheers,
    Simon

I have a set for my 700n and they are well worth the money (and they weren't cheap!).

Anyone know if the 700e ones fit the 700v2 nitro canopy?

      That sounds great.
Do they do that for the 500 efl?

These ones? Quick UK Retail - shop-products

The smaller ones don't fit surely, so you need to buy two sets to get the 4 longer posts? That's a bit steep if so...

I did email them a while back asking about whether they had a magnetic mounting kit on the way for the 600 pro and they said yes, no idea of when though.

That's what I have fitted to my 600efl Pro. Works perfectly, can post a pic if you want, but the angled mounts are perfect for the front of the canopy.

Really? I'm surprised by that - the front posts are the same as the rear posts with the stock kit...

But if you say they work then they must!

Hopefully these pics will show just how well these fit the 600EFL (my canopy fits exactly the same as the standard pins, no distortion.

I think these are quite expensive, but this model is really tricky to get the canopy off and on, but with the magnetic mounts, its a piece of p*ss

Thanks for the pics - look like they fit very well!

I think I might have to invest in a set, as you say it can be such a faff getting the canopy on and off otherwise.

I had a set on my 600, I found a couple of things, if you dont use the rubber canopy mounts over time the canopy really wears around the hole badly. if you do use the rubber mounts then the screw really needs to be longer(unless they have changed this) as on my set in fast backward flight the canopy did come loose on one side.

But other than that I think their a great idea.
                    All the best

I have just got them but what I have done is used the little black washers that come with the canopy and left some of the screw on the mount so its easier to find the hole and better for the above reason.

Am I missing something here? I used them on my old 700le, and last night put a set on my new 700e. I leave the grommets exactly as if you weren't using the magnetic mounts, then just screw the magnetic clip and screw through the hole, normally leaving about 5-8mm of thread on the inside. It specifically says to make sure you leave this so as to locate it on the mount.

I've never ever had one come loose or pop off. We use them on the 700 turbine, but only have the 2 rear ones fitted, and again never caused a problem on that either. I'd go as far as to say its one of the best simple products I've ever bought in this hobby, hence why i bought some for my new 700e before id even got the kit in my hands. They make life much easier, and removing and refitting the canopy is a breeze.

Fast Lads have now got stock of the 600 pro cano mounts. Will be rather expensive as you only get two in the set, so you have to buy two sets
