  • Tail boom part number for a 600 pro?

    Hi folks,

Had a bit of a dink today with the 600 pro. Quite fast at sub thistle height when one of them reached up and grabbed me properly!
I don't need a 'carbon effect' jobbie just a regular alloy one. Is it the HN6090 I need or a H60042?

    Cheers, Marty

    Bad luck.

I would have to look it up tomorrow to be sure but I think that they will both fit. If I recall correctly the HN6090 is for the nitro and is green coloured and the H60042 is for the 600 e and is black.

If your servo is mounted in the frame you need HN6090, but if mounted on the boom you need H60042, the booms are the same length but the rudder control rod is shorter on the H60042....
Just to add, looking at Align Trex website that the grey boom (H60042) is .3mm bigger if that matters or it could be a typo...And if you are using a carbon pushrod the control rod would not matter...

        Ah, thanks for that guys.

I should have said it's a 600e pro - tail servo in the frame jobbie. I don't think I'm the only one whacking booms as there's a lot of OUT OF STOCK notices on a the usual supplies pages. Got some coming from Slough RCM in the end.

Sounds like you are sorted but if any problems drop me a PM. I'm sure I have one spare somewhere, I did a stretch on my Trex 600e Pro so don't need the standard boom anymore. Yours for the cost of post if you are stuck.

It's good to see a problem solved.

Did you get the black booms or the dark green version? (I don't think there is any difference except the colour but no doubt an expert will correct me if I am wrong).

They came in regular black - boring yes but cheap as chips

Here you are Marty, If you had waited a couple of days you could have had red booms....
