  • Simstick with DX8

    Hi,
I just received a Simstick today (very excited) but I am having trouble setting it up with my DX8. I cannot seem to get the rudder channel going through and also I have no collective pitch showing up in Phoenix.

Am I missing something very obvious? I have swashplate as 1 servo and heli type and I have checked several times that everything else is configured correctly but still no rudder or collective pitch.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Have you got it set to heli mode and 1 servo swash?
    Cheers Matt

      Two things

You must not use the AR8000 use a 6100 / 6110 and set the dx8 to DSM2 then set it up according to the web site. www.simstick.co.uk

        Simstick with AR6210

I am aware now that the AR6210 is not supported but have now got it working with Simstick, I am VERY pleased.

Thanks for your help, it made me change the mode from DSMX to DSM2 and that made all the difference - I wonder if the AR8000 would also work like this? I will check later once I have had a good play on the 50" Plasma. You change the mode in the Frame Rate screen.

To connect the AR6210 I bought 6 Servo extension leads and took off the shroud on the female end (took a couple of seconds for each one with a sharp knife). The AR6210 does not plug into the SimStick directly so the extension leads are a requirement.

I am so pleased since I only had the 6210 and the 8000.

        Great product and great support.

        Trevor
