At the moment it retails at £65.

I prefer to use parallels as i need my mac to run as well as play phoenix.

You can pickup a legit copy of Parallels 7 from eBay for about £50. I've got Parallels/Phoenix/XP running on my macbook without any problems. VMWare Fusion will also run Phoenix.

If you are not in hurry... start with the Parallels trial version. Let it expire and wait for the discount offers to start coming in.

I registered for the trial but due to work priorities I never got around to even install it until it expired. In the following few weeks I kept getting emails with progressively better prices.

BTW, you can install Bootcamp from an older CD/DVD (that was provided with an older Mac) and that will be compatible with XP. However, the drivers provided in that older Bootcamp may not fully support the hardware of your new Mac. In that case you may need to source and install the missing drivers manually.
