Hi folks,
I've enjoyed flying the Benzin Trainer this last 18 months with it's epic flight time but I've finally gone leccie in preparation for the scale project.

It was seeing gary911's add for the very rare X-era 240Kv motor that gave me the push to rob a bank. All I can say is that it's well worth the time and money.
The Zenoah engine is a great unit but for scale use it's just not correct. Also, they do generate vibes! With the leccie conversion, I've been able to up the gyro gain from 35% to 70% and she's so smooth in the air now.
As far as power goes it's got it in buckets, it just doesn't bog! The Zenoah is rated @ 2.5hp but this bad boy can deliver 6.6hp continuously maybe 10hp in peaks! I'm running two of gary's Zippy 5800mHa/25c 7cell packs in series through a YEP Opto 120Hv esc and everything is remaining cool on the stock 6.73:1 gearing.
The weight is about the same as the unfuelled gasser (8kg) and C of G is very slightly nose heavy. After 10mins flying (long enough for me) it's taken 60% out of the packs.
All in all, I'm a very pleased bunny and many thanks to gary911 for the motor and lipos.
Happy New Yeah to all, Marty
