Aurora Electric 90 back in stock

We got a massive surprise yesterday when a delivery of Avant Aurora kits turned up!
The Nitro kits have sold out as not many turned up, but we have stock available of the Electric models.
They are the latest spec kits which now come with the RigidCore flybarless head setup as standard.
It's an amazing model to fly, believe me!

Thats a lot of helicopter for the money, hard to beat. I enjoyed my 2 and the Nitro but now others enjoy them!!

Rob, it says they have had many improvements, what are they compared to the second version which I believe I had as they had the V2 frame layout??

I loved the look of mine but I just didnt gel with it for some reason, didnt feel right. I'm defo interested to hear what has been changed as I cant stop looking at them lol.

No lol, been tempted a couple of times recently but uk support would need to improve first (at avants end, not midland they were great!)
I posted on the Avant forum last night asking whether there were any plans for the future with new helis etc expecting it to be ignored but it went up! read into that what you will but i hope they do have something new in the pipeline. Dont think id be able to help myself lol!

Just checking out spares across the pond and certainly no issue there with availability shame about the UK. With spares from the US the pricing with postage isn't bad as a rule and ordering a whole kit from the states I doubt whether there would be much in it.

In response to some negative posts my thoughts are as follows

Still not aware of another heli that can turn on a penny like an Aurora does with proper model heli characteristics and there is no issue with regard to build quality that sticks out. It is however a proper builders machine and careful construction is required, get that right and it will fly faultless session after session and unfortunately I've learnt that lesson the hard way.

There are plenty of other heli's that do have obvious faults but I can say the Avant to my knowledge doesn't have any obvious faults and it is extremely well made just needs careful construction and in my opinion is still a world class leading design.

I can only speak for the nitro btw.

If I convert my Avant/purchase a fbl Avant it would have to have a vbar as I feel it would best suit the machine to tune it to how it's flys with a flybar! I wouldn't bother either trying to chop down the main shaft for a lower look and as I do know how this affects the model.

As far as I'm aware the Aurora has been is still used in F3C due to its on rails fly ability.

Ask people there favourite machine to fly on a simulator and the majority will say the Avant and it's flys exactly the same in reality and with HV servos and a well tuned 91, better!
