  • Raptor Head - stiff/tight only when flybar is perpendicular to boom

    Hey Raptor gurus,

i have a problem with my raptor 30, specifically with my v2 head.
i noticed that the swash wouldn't level all the time, and the heli flies poorly, and now know why. When the flybar is parallel with the boom, the elevator mechanics from servo to head are fine - free moving and no resistance. However, when I turn the head by 90 degrees so that the flybar is perpendicular to the tail boom, it becomes very stiff and quite hard to move.

I have checked that all bolts are not over-tight, and link by link I have detached to narrow the problem down to somewhere around the control hoops.
i have replaced the flybar carrier as I had a quick-UK version with head button to no avail, and checked that all of the links, but think that the only thing left would be the ball-links themselves?

Is this possible? Is it just because they are tight? I don't want to make things too loose... If not, what else could it be?
Im pretty sure none of my other raptors were like this.

    thanks
Working...
