Custom canopies has any one got one?

Has anyone had a custom canopy painted?
Do they show you what it will look before they spray it or do you just give em an idea of what you like and off they go?
Any recommendations?

Not too keen on my new Logo canopy so toying with the idea of getting a custom one.

Not had one myself, as I can't afford it really, but Buckers is the man to go to. Check out his site, Cano-Fx, for info and lots of examples of his work. Fusuno appear to do good work also.

For me, as my design was quite specific, i did my best to draw a mockup. We then had a little discussion over colours and minor details.

thats exactly what I did, I gave phil some ideas and colours and let him get on with it. Highly recommended if you don't crash much now lol

I had 3 from canomod. They do good work, prices are fair.
They email a picture of you required scheme for you to check befor they clear coat it. Delivery is usually 3 days by ups
There is a massive choice for you to play with

I've had probably too many custom canopys now from Sick Canopy, Insane Canopy, Buckers @ Cano FX and more recently Fusano Custom Canopys. Without doubt the very best work is from Insane and the finish and colours are just stunning, almost to good to use, but you will pay for it.
Sick is not far off Insane quality but is a bit cheaper.
Buckers is also very good and in the UK so the easiest to deal with but I have to say I've been really impressed with the Fusano custom canopys which work out about the same cost as a stock canopy in some cases including post and import tax.
You really don't want to be someone that crashes though with an Insane canopy on your heli as at a cost of upto $400 they ain't cheap which is why I like the Fusano ones, gives you a unique canopy but without the worry and cost.
All custom canopys start with some sort of idea or design from you of what you want and usually a bit of back and forth until you're happy, you'll then get a final design sent to you and you give the go ahead when you're happy, most will send you pictures along the way and a finished pic at the end.
Personaly i'll continue buying the Fusano ones if I need them as I like something different but at the end of the day a canopy should be looked upon as a consumable item so no point spending loads, this is the design i'm using at the moment.

Back on topic (for me anyway ), I've never been a fan of the Logos that much. They look and fly awesome (and sound even better) from what I've seen, I just think they're overpriced.

Had a few from Arizona, Sick, Insane, Cano-FX, Buckers, Fusuno, spray shops and after all that Fusuno is best blend btwn quality and price. Great service to.
