  • Kk2board settings?

Just finished my first quad build, seems to not like the stock settings. Getting big slow oscillations coming out of flight to a stop/hover. Anyone got any good settings that I can start from?
    cheers

    I have one in a quad as a '+' and Roll & pitch is PG=55 PL=20 IG=30 IL=10 Yaw is PG=50 PL=20 IG=30 IL=10 that's a starting point its not perfect but it aint too bad...

having real problems with this, no matter what my settings, it seems that coming to a hard stop, or say pulling out of a turn, puts the quad into a massive oscillation, that puts the quad into the ground, broken a fair few props, and at this rate i think ill break the frame. anyone know what this is down to?

You sure the rest of your set up is good? All props balanced? board insulated from frame? Is it a bought or a made frame? I just slapped mine on with no problems. There is also a calibration on the board but assume you have done that and not sure it would solve your problem.

hi, yeh i balanced all the props prior to the first test flights, gently slow flying seems fine, if its i want to fly it properly, it seems to get that bad vibe. its this frame Q450 Glass Fiber Quadcopter Frame 450mm - Integrated PCB Version

ive calibrated it , and i out some rubber washers underneath the board adapter plate.
had it finished months, and not had a proper flight of it yet!

i think oscillation is due to gain is too high? try lowering 5-10 points at a time? start at 60.
I think usually the smaller the quad the lower the numbers.

I would say lower P gain if it is a fast oscillation. If that doesn't have much effect then take it back up and try lowering I gain a little or both together. If that fails try raising D a little and repeating the same. Someone correct me if I am wrong. P is like the overall gain, I is how hard it works to keep it locked in a position and D is like how much it anticipates its correction. There is more to it than that but you get the feel of it after some time.

default P and I gains on my KK2 with a dji F450 kit were fine, think i lowered the P gain slightly and upped the I gain to 25 on the elev and ail, no D on the KK2.

what kind of ESC's and motors are u using, is there much flex in the frame?

                    Lower the P gain.
I gain is to dampen/fine tune after when you are happy with P.
