Hi, just to fill in quick, Last year i got to point where i was flying my elyQ 50 around just doing some high bank turns and general flying and got confident with doing so, in "normal" mode. Ive not flown over winter and now about to get back into it and want to set off on the right foot and get into the habit of using idle up as i have intentions to progress further.
Now last year i did set it up but when i flicked it to idle-up the RPM jumped up and the heli flicked up a bit which personally shit me up, i kept it hovering for a short while while i gathered myself and then flicked it back to normal.
So... i set about setting it back up earlier but cant really understand how to do it, Well i do but i just have a few questions.
When generally am i to flick into idle-up? When hovering, just before take off? As I assume this decision is needed now for me to be able to match the Throttle pos on both so there is no "flick"?
Do i set my idle-up to how i want it and then set normal throttle curve up so that at the point i want to change the throttle pos match?
Im sure from the above you can see confusion and im sure one of you can put me on the right path.
Thanks
Andy
