  • mcpx v2 problem

    Hi,
My name is Ray, have a problem with an mcpx v2 I got from a mate (not paid him yet ) I bound it to my dx6i as per instructions every thing works untill you power it up and then nothing happens no movement on cyclic is this a setup fault on my part or a duff heli, thanks in advance for any help

What is the blue LED on the main board of the heli doing after you've turned on the transmitter and plugged the battery into the heli?

If it is flashing then you haven't bound to the TX correctly.

If it stays lit and doesn't dim or flash when you move the sticks then it sounds like the heli is duff.

      Hi,
Thanks for the info, rebound it cyclic ok, LED stays constant, to be a real pain it has a lot of negative pitch, open throttle no lift but everything else works ok, so again any suggestions please, the mcpx is new to me I dont have any problems with 120SR or my nano SR, I must have set it up wrong somewhere? not to sure what to do about the blade pitch

Have you reversed the Pitch direction in the Reverse menu on the DX6i?

It is the only direction to need reversing & if you don't do it you get max -ve pitch where you expect max lift.

          Hi,
Once again many thanks, seems to be ok to windy outside today to try, and I'm not ready to try it indoors yet, plus I'm fairly new to computer R/C gear so you may soon get sick of hearing from me, again many thanks

No problem, I've got the same kit & did the same thing, it is easy to miss the reverse for pitch in the manual. You end up when trying to take off, drilling it into the floor!

I'm sure you'll enjoy the DX6i & MCPx once setup properly.
