Trex 700 pitch servo locking

Hi just got this model and I am trying to set it up with a dx8 that I am not to good with as I've not had it long,when I turn the heli on the pitch servo locks ether way with or without the transmitter turned on any help appreciated

bit more info required to help u ! model bound? if already setup is it on correct model?

Yes the model is bound and I have it set on the correct model it throws the servo even when the transmitter is turned off

What do I need to look for when I open the servo

I bought this second hand and was assured everything was fine the servo is a align ds610

What servo are you using? And have you tried just plugging the servo into the throttle channel on the Rx to see if it operate ok

Fb I've got it working now in servo set up but I now have another problem I'm not getting enough servo travel on the rudder what should this be set at on my dx8 I've got a spartan quark mems gyro on it the servo is a jr ds8900g

Have you setup the mechanical limits on the gyro. If you have and are still not getting full throw then you need to go out a hole on your servo horn and adjust the mechanical limits again.

make sure jr servo is only getting 4.8v only and your travel adjust in servo setup menu are at 100% before doing endpoints in gyro setup
