  • 3G FL 760 problem

I am having trouble getting my 3G FL760 unit to initialize I am holding the small button down on initial power up and am not getting any LEDs at all
My wiring is correct as per manual I am using a DX7 TX and AR8000 RX with satellite these both lock in as normal but it seems there is no power getting to the control unit at all my trims are at center and all sub trims are at 0 any input gratefully recived

Email sent stanley. If you can't get it to work, I will bring another from the 3G 550 on Sunday.
Been there and done that, but never stop learning.

        Hey.

From memory the 3G takes power in on the FBL side via the aileron lead, as this receiver connection has the usual 3 wires, elevator and pitch only have one wire. Check to make sure you have this ailron plug orientated correctly in the receiver port, as if not power will be going in on the wrong wires and stopping the 3G powering up.

Pitch should be set using your pitch gauge dependent on how much you want to use , same goes with cyclic throw use pitch gauge to set your cyclic swash mix .

Hi Stanley. I had 60/60/40 on Aileron, Elevator, Pitch.

I now have +/- 12 deg on pitch and aileron and 0 deg at mid stick however upon power up the swashplate tilts back then jumps up and down 3 times then settles as normal (collective stick down -12 deg )
after that all controls respond as normal, I am reading this is incorrect but cannot get the swash to jump the 3 times in a level plane
I have been through my set up again and am clear ? my input is as per manual. any input gratefully recived

The swash just jumps up 3 times when initialising. That is normal. Did you re-bind after the set up?

                              +1 on the rebind!

IIRC Until the setup is complete and then rebound the receiver will keep the default transmitter settings you started the setup with in its failsafe during initialisation.

I recall I had a spartan gyro which gave problems until i read the FAQ's and had a eureka moment on how the initial handshake was done between receiver and transmitter.

I think in the Spektrum manuals it stresses to rebind their receivers to properly set the failsafe and correct transmitter settings in the receiver after setting up model.
