Winterton Show 2013

Hi all
I am once again organising this years Winterton show. It will be held this year on 3/4th August at our site in North Lincs.
I would like to invite any heli display pilots who are interested to come and fly for us, we get lots of fixed wing but I would love to have a good representation of the heli side of the hobby. We are a BMFA affiliated site and a B cert will be required to fly over the weekend.

i was all geared up to go to this last year.....wasn't it cancelled ?

there are a few B cert pilots in our area (not me) so hopefully one or 2 (come on guys.....you know who you are) will put on a bit of a display to support RC Helis in our area

Hi Steve,
Like so many events last year we had to cancel due to the awful weather. We got hit with torrential rain the day before the event which flooded the field and even though we hired pumps to clear the water there was no way we could carry on.
Fingers crossed for a far better summer this year

as with so many other events last year we got hammered by last summers horrendous weather. Torrential rain the day before flooded our field and even with hired in pumps running all day on the Friday there was now way we could have put the show on. Fingers crossed for a hot and dry summer this year.

unfortunately, your show on the 3rd and 4th of August clashes with Lindens (RC club in Grimsby) heli flyin and Grassroots competition. So most heli flyers from our area will be there, me included.

For anybody who may be interested in coming to fly for us a few more details below.
The Winterton Model Show

booking forms are under the pilot tab
Our pilot and helper hospitality will be up to the same high standards with sausage and bacon butties for breakfast and we also have a BBQ planned for Saturday night after the show.
Camping will be available from Thursday 1st through to Monday 5th on site free to all those pilots who fly in the display and at a rate of £15 a night, including show entrance, for spectators.
Entrance fees to the show for spectators will be £5.00 for adults, £3.00 for children.
The flying display will take place from 10.00 to 16.00 both days.
After last year it may be advisable to bring a flying boat just in case! Let's pray for a better summer this year.

We still have slots available to fly with us over the weekend, you need to get a pilot booking form filled in mainly so we know how much Bacon and Sausage to buy in for the pilots and helpers breakfast butties. Oh and how many burgers for the Saturday night BBQ.
We do like to look after you guys, we can't do it without you after all!
