    2013 MK Flyin






    Following protracted negotiations with Bernie Eccleston and the management at Silverstone Race Track, they have agreed that it's better to move the 2013 Grand Prix, avoiding the clash with our flyin.

    Building on the incredible success of our 2012 flyin which was so well supported by the members of RC Heli Addicts despite the weather, the members and committee of MK Heli would like to invite you to their 2013 flyin. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported us in the last few years and it's this fantastic support that makes it such a superb weekend.

    MK Heli Club is pleased to announce that next years fly in will take place on Sat 13th and Sun 14th of July with early arrivals from 15:00 on Friday the 12th.

    Food and drink will be available throughout both days, and a fish and chip supper can be purchased in advance for those staying late Saturday evening.

    Overnight camping on Friday and Saturday night will be available with room for both tents and caravans.

    Tx control opens at 9am both days with flying starting at 9.30am till late, with Night flying on Saturday evening only.

    Last but not least there will be a Raffle on Sunday with tickets available all weekend.

    We are planning a number of comps to run over the weekend so keep watching for details. Don't miss it guys and girls it's one of the best weekends of the year.

        Whey Hey!!!

        That means all those hotels & guest houses wont be able to charge us £300 a night for rooms that only go for £20 a night the rest of the year!

                Well you can stand around all weekend watching people fly helicopters or you can have a fly with your own model or someone elses so long as you have valid insurance. You can have a go even if you do not have a BMFA A or B. You can have a go even if you need to use training under-carriage. You can even have a go if you need to get to the flight line in a wheel chair.

                You need to bring loads of money for raffle tickets, drinks and food. There will probably be a trade tent or two so you might want to bring some extra cash should you want to purchase stuff that is heli related.

                Other than that it is mandatory to have fun and enjoy yourself safely.

                  fair enough, so no registration forms to fill out then?!

                  I'll def like to have a go with my models, was up there the other week with Ian (Coolice) its a great site. Loads of facilities and lovely flight area. I missed it this yeah, ill make it a definite for next!

                    Loved the ones I have been to. Would really like to make this one too. Any news on the grass roots
                    -I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

                    A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
                    A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
                    And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

                    And a DX8 too

                      Yes there is a registration form to fill out, you can only get one from me and they're £25 each. (Cash only)

                      I will need your full name, address, date of birth, bank sort code, mothers maiden name, pets & wifes name (if any)

                        We are going ahead with it James but we'll wait until the new year rather than confuse it with SW Grass Roots. We'll announce the date early next year.
