This is the plan and I'm awaiting GWR to contact me to give me an aprox cost for this. They have two levels a basic and a corporate.

For example....

What is included in the Basic Adjudication Service?
The basic service includes the following:

• Verification of the record on site by a trained GWR Adjudicator
• Official certificate presentation by GWR Adjudicator
• Framed certificate for the presentation ceremony, plus up to 5 certificates with final details
• Adjudication article posted on our website with pictures
• License of the GWR trademarks and logo for non commercial purposes for up to 4 weeks, the use is detailed in below (Any additional usage of our TM outside the allowance indicated below or after the record attempt should be passed onto the relevant licensing manager:
  • Leaflets Up to 5,000
  • Posters Up to 1,000
  • Websites Up to 2 for up to 4 weeks before record attempt
  • Banners Up to 10
  • Newspapers/magazines Up to 5
  • T-shirts* Up to 500 (this option also allows organisers to give away some of the t-shirts to record attempt participants)
  • PERIOD OF TIME Up to 4 weeks prior to record attempt
  • 1 Giveaway item as a thank you to record attempt participants i.e. badge, trophy, key rings (this is separate from the thank you letter that the organisers might produce) Up to 500

The adjudication fee depends on the package you go for, location, but it also depends on the number of records, adjudicators and days involved. Travel and accommodation costs will also have to be covered by the organizers of the event.

So I don't see it being cheap to arrange !!

Well the price aprox in from the GWR - drum roll.......

Costs that are expected to be paid by you include: airfares (must be direct flights and business class if outside Europe), all transfers to and from the event, accommodation and a daily attendance rate of £3,500 (+VAT). This applies only for the day of the record attempt but a discretionary fee might apply if the total travel time takes longer than one day. A £500 DISCOUNT will apply if the attendance fee is paid 10 working days prior the date of the record attempt.

Way over the top for our budgets....unless we set a limit of 100 pilots @ £35.00 a head to take part.

I can't see many up for that one.....

btw, business class if outside Europe LMAO. So what about the poor little man that used to have the longest nails in the world and lived in Outer Mongolia in a little village only reached by riding mountain goats. How the hell did his little village afford the fee and the business class fee on top of that???
