        Hello

Thanks for the welcome. It is difficult being blonde AND female in this male dominated (modelling)world. At least we can laugh at ourselves. My husband is blonde - he would never admit to doing something wrong let alone laugh about it. Have learnt very early on that men are NEVER EVER wrong. You can never win an argument with someone who is never wrong. How many times have you seen the hot shot pilot blame his radio when he crashes. We all know that today's radios are almost glitch free. Have you ever seen a high speed stall?

It is a great sense of relief when the penny drops and you know what the problem is- finally.

We should not put ourselves down however. We are not " too stupid to fly" We are flying are we not?

          Hello Chris

It really is a small world. You are right . It is a beautiful place. Pretty run down at the moment- but we have sunshine 24/7/364 .
Your shop is one of my favourite shopping destinations. You have loads of stuff! Have been bending Andys ear whenever I have a problem and he always has the right answers. Bought 2 Mcpx BL when they first came out and had a tail motor problem with one out of the box. Andy is sending a replacement- no questions asked. Now that is what I call service!

Hi Halina, Great to see Andy is taking good care of you. He does an excellent job :-)

Its been a long time since I lived In Harare but from what I have seen on the TV it is looking pretty tired. Such a shame. I would love to get back over one of these days as its pretty much where I grew up. As you know once you have lived in Africa there really is no other place on the earth quite like it .. There used to be a small model shop just of 4th street but I am sure its long gone by now. :-( I spent a lot of time in there when I was a kid lol.. :-)

              Cheers

              Chris

I have just joined this forum and wanted to say hi first :)
How is flying going girls? :) For me it was going well until last week when my Raptor crashed :( it was not even my fault.. and that hurts even more though.. So I hope you had better times than I did ;)

                  Hi jwatts007

I had no say in the matter since I was born here. There is still the rest of Europe remember! Both parents came from Poland. In the late 30's at age 16 Dads whole family was forcefully relocated to Siberia from Silesia as slave labour. When the Germans invaded Russia they managed to "escape". Most of the family perished on the way out. Dad joined the Allies and trained as a bombardier . Saw action at Monte Casino in Italy after the Americans attack failed to budge the enemy. After the war Dad was demobilised and ended up in Scotland where he trained as an engineer. Was invited to come to the then Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). Met Mum in London and brought her here. Hubby is half Scot , half German.

It is a pleasure to meet you too !
Modelling is tuff when you are the wife. Hubby has all his batteries charged by me( I don't think he knows how to use the charger yet) His fuel mixed. ( It's painful because he uses standard with no nitro and I use a 20 % nitro mix.) The list goes on and on.....
I am a huge fan of 007 by the way. Read all the books.

Actually there are quite a few woman pilots these days but most seem to be in Germany and other countries on the continent.
