  • Hello fellow Ladies

So I just wanted to say hello from Seattle WA USA. I am a female pilot here also, and am glad I can speak with other ladies. Please feel free to say hello any time as well. I have been flying helicopters now for about two years, so I am new but not tooo too new. Hope everyone is having fun also.

Welcome. You won't get treated different to anybody else. No questions are stupid and people on here are all addicts. If you want to talk to other girls there are a few, but not many. We are all learning. You could probably make us all jealous by telling us about the space you have to fly in. The more girls that fly the more girls that will fly hopefully. Vicki is just starting and started on a mcpx. Haven't heard much from her recently and she can't be contacted privately. Trillian is a moderator and so is Rachel.

        Hi Sarah and welcome :-)

I fly helicopters too (strange that) and I really enjoy the building side of the hobby too , I even paint my own canopies , I have too they just don't make them in the right shade of pink :-)

This year is going to be my first year of entering Heli competitions , and before you think I am some sort of Raquel Bellot, I am really bad at flying but I am entering the UK's Baby class we call "Grass Roots"
I will come last but to be honest who cares its the fun of taking part that counts .

Anyway I am suppost to be working so good luck and bye for now

Ahh I so love the ladies section lol. I do not have any pink canopies yet, I usually stick with the bright orange and yellow. (although my 700 and my 600 are the ugly align canopies that you can not see any way). I am no Rachel Bellot either since I have only flown for about two years. I can do some mild 3d for the most part I fly fast scale also. The few things on 3d that I can do or tic tocs, (can not do the side ones yet), I can do funnels, rainbows, hurricanes backwards but not inverted yet, I can do some inverted hovering, tail slides, but not rotating tail slides.

My 600 esp seems to like the 3d more then my f3c v2 (which ) is well more F3c style. But it is really cool when I do loops and barrel rolls with it :). There is lots of space to fly where I am at least. I can go to probably any park (well in the morning I can) and not worry about people at all. Afternoons is a little harder to do but then I can just go on campus and use the soccer fields so either way I have plenty of room to let a 700 stretch her legs. I will post a few pictures here shortly so you can see what I have. cheers

lol no that is not a quilt look closely it is a candy shop sheesh guys. and my one and only boyfriend is great. He never moves, he never makes a mess, he never argues, back talks, he just stands there. I am pretty lucky well I had him (dont any more) he was in another city that I visited for just a few days. How flys rings around you, I am sure I dont lol. I can do all those things I did not say they looked beautiful while doing them. :)

                          Hello

Its great to see that there are ladies that take this hobby seriously. (addicted?) . Have been flying for some time but progress has been a lot slower than I would have liked. No one at my club flies helis regularly so there has been trial and a lot of error!
When I started to try inverted flight the Heli just lost altitude. I then discovered that my idle up flight modes although programmed in were inhibited. Now if there had only been someone to ask........
