  • Bought some adapters and need your opinion.

    Hey guys!

I bought some. 5mm bullet to ec5 adaptors to.use on my 700e but I am not sure they are going to be man enough to handle the current!

I was intending to use them on a stock Trex 700e with castle 120a etc and a pair of 30c 5000mah 6S lipos.

    What do you recon?

    Cheers

    Hey Gary.

More than man enough mate, I use EC5's on my 700E DFC as do many others and they work well. I think EC5's are rated to 120amps+ continuous.

My guess is they will be fine, more than enough to handle the power.

        Hi Gary
I brought them with the same intention as you , and didn`t think they were up to the job so soldered Ec5`s on instead.
Having said that the wire on them is like a copper and you try de-soldering one ,it melted bullet before the solder.
The sodering job is not very good on mine ,only a dab of solder on each wire.
Not worth the cost of a crash if they fail.
        Just my opinion

        regards
        Ian

Why on earth did I put this in "women pilots"?? I mean, it's not even the weekend yet!!

Yeah just to add, those wires may not be as thick as the wires on the Turnigy 5000mah packs but they put really overkill guage wire on there, in a 12s setup you'll never pull enough power to stress those wires! Just make sure they are securely soldered as they should be.
