To date, I have had 15 flights now with the N7, and obviously the first few were with a pretty rich smokey engine. I've started to lean her back a bit more now, and yesterday was the first time I saw just how much power that OS 105 HZ-R has got!! OK its not electric power, nor will it ever be, but I spent alot of time in 2013 flying over 250 flights on my Synergy N5c with a YS56 in it. This was to teach me more collective skills, and I think this is paying off because the N7 is very quick and power loops, hurricanes etc very well with very little motor or HS bogging.
I am using Optifuel 30slv fuel, and I have the additional .2mm shim in the head for this high nitro fuel. I have chosen this route because on the YS56 needing 30%, and I dont want to have to buy 2 types of fuel for both machines. The OS 105 would ordinarily use 20% fuel.
The N7 feels very light in the air (I must weigh it and post what it is) but it's alot lighter than electric 700 size machines. I have already had 2 forced Auto's because I have been enjoying flying it so much that I have run out of fuel!! It floats very well on its Rail 696 main blades. I have my V-Bar bank switching set with 3 steps in the agility setting, and I like it best at 90. I'll leave the 110 setting for Mr Steve G to play with when I head back up to the northern lads soon!!
To summarise, I am very very impressed with this model, with only a couple of errors in the kit, which I think is really good for a first run production kit. This machine I believe will re define the 700 nitro class, and I'm sure you all will be seeing a fair few of these models around the flyin's this summer.
I'll add more update to this thread as I get more flights in, and if any of you with the N7 want to add your thoughts, please do.
I'll be back soon with the E7se build thread, and also the TT conversion of the N5c build thread.
