    Best racing van rebuild thread

    Righto, as you may know i've aquired an Escort van off me old pops after the clever sod blew it up, by not listening to me and replacing the cambelt. Engine is buggered, I threw a new belt on out of interest to see if it would start, but nay compression captain.

    So a restoration is in order and im going to fit a 2.0l Zetec on Bike carbs, onto the standard Van box. This will give me tall gearing so it will cruise well but the motor will be pulling 170-180bhp so will have the poke to drag its arse about. Brakes and suspension will also be suitably upgraded too. Exterior is in bloody good nick for a 12 year old van. and only needs minor work with very very few dings.

    Today I have taken pics of it in its current state and will document every step of the rebuild as I work my way through it.

    Quite fancy doing something like this . Subscribed :)
    T Rex 600 n pro, Raptor 50 ( on the build table) T Rex 500 , Nano and a Blade 450 ,T Rex 250 ( still in box )
    Aroura 9 , FF9 with specky mod , dx6i
    Oh and loads of Planks.

      i don't see the super fandago wide wheels stored in the back that you'll be fitting

        Not got any wide wheels for it yet. Will be the last thing on a long list. Ill start pulling it apart tomorrow or Friday. Got Job interview tomorrow so dont fancy buggering my back up before that and walking in there in loads of pain.

              I understand that bud but souped up means expensive insurance and dead money on resale. If you just want to do it that's another story mate but for practicality a stock van makes more sense ;)

                              Thats proper smart that!! I want them wheels for the escort but may have to upgrade to the 5 stud hubs off the Connect so I can fit them
