He's an engaging presenter - but having watched most of the first video, I'm not convinced he knows much about the theory.

A flat aerofoil with an angle of attack will generate lift. It has all kinds of flaws, but that's at odd with the "longer path, speed difference, Bernoulli, etc" explanation he's presented.

They taught us what he said at school, and I thought it had been debunked.

The theory I've seen more recently says that the aerofoil deflects the air flow -> change of momentum -> force on aerofoil -> lift & induced (IIRC) drag.

Don't necessarilly believe me, but be sceptical.

That is Shahid Banglawala.

He's a member of the same club as me, and is the 'Bango' who writes a regular article about 3D plane flying in the BMFA magazine. He also regularly writes in RCM&E and other publications. He's got a recent degree in aeronautical engineering from Loughborough University or similar.

He can regularly be found all over the High Alpha forum and has been working on these films for a while now.

absolutely accurate or not they helped me understand the reasons for correct center of gravity etc ,and I think he has a very engaging way of getting it across.

Hee hee lets have a discussion about whether planes 'zoom upwards' when turning into wind and 'sag downwards' when turning down wind.

Incorrect Lift Theories - NASA

I did say I'd shut up, but below are some links to what NASA has to say on the matter. [It's pitched at college or high school students, and it seems pretty good.
