Without reading any of the other posts fully Id without hesitation say a Wot4. classic design can be beginner to intermediate depending on setup so isnt JUST a trainer. Big enough to see and be stable and wont be reserved to millpond calm days yet light enough to withstand abuse and carry about assembled if required.
perfect. its been around for a while as well although not in current foam guise but the longevity of the design signifies that its well proven. Latest foam model comes with servos and more importantly power train so takes all the guesswork out of finding something suitable - thats a big plus when it comes to fixed wing as often it is often a science determining what exactly is right for the model based upon significant factors.
Ive flown fixed wing for many many years to a reasonable standard although Helis are now my passion.
