Hello
My review of my Acer ac700 chrome book, although it is mostly about the chrome as a operating system. Well, like most chromebooks its small about 12.5 inches wide. When you turn it on you have to do a update then restart. That all takes (including the setting up of your Gmail account!) about 3 mins. Its a truly fast machine! The mouse pad is a rather large or well its standard size, but it looks large on this machine! The keyboard has had some renovations, its had a few keys removed such as delete and capslock, and as its slightly smaller it takes some getting used too! On the internet it's faster than my sisters Dell 17r running a I7 and its only running a 1.67mhz Atom. That just goes to show how little power this free/opensource operating system is! I'm aright with all my files being kept in the "cloud" as i can access them from my android phone, so i can listen to music, view photo's or video's on the go! I'd say that these chromebooks are great! I keep movies and large files on USB's or rent them through the Netflix app off the Chromestore! I'm also amazed by the battery life, it came with a factory fresh storage charge (75%) so it took about 20mins to reach 100%. That was at 2pm and i've been using since then and its still got 27% left! It is very light too, probally less than a 3s 2200mah lipo! With the low weight its thin too only about 2.5 ish cm!All in all i'd say if you need a new laptop for simple browsing, renting movies (watching them on your tv as it has a HDMI port) and just writing letters/making power points (there is a few office compatible programs that are free !) and if you travel a lot and have a android phone then this is for you they start at £200 which is this model! and go up to £300 depending on size etc. The chromebox is tiny too although i've never used one its the same OS!
Well hope i have bored you with this review!
