I got a Powerlab 8 today.

I charged one battery, then I decided to try the CCS software using my Beast X USB-serial dongle. Sweet. All works....

Oh there's a new firmware out. Better get that..... firmware update failed... great. So now I can't use it until I re-flash the firmware, which may require a dongle purchase.


UPDATE: Used my netbook (running XP) to do the firmware update and it worked. Phew! So the Beast X dongle does work. It must have been a software/driver problem on my main PC (Windows 7). Come to think of it, I think I used my netbook to update my microbeast too.

Well I ordered some cheap velcro straps from ebay, but was sent 2 x 5m hdmi leads by mistake. The seller told me to keep them and my velcro would be posted out asap..

If anyone wants a 5 metre hdmi lead drop me a pm and I'll post it off to you.. be quick, I've only 2.

Great for hooking up the the laptop to the tv for the Sim..

Well not the postman but the wife got me a Dremmel 4000 today for my birthday. It is still heli related as i'm always saying if i had a dremmel i could do this. if i had a dremmel etc lol & so now i can remove snapped screws from a Gaui head, snapped screw in a HK250 tail case & so on.

Today I got a flying wing kit and a Trex 500 CF body and tail boom assy with torque tube, thanks asomaro! Hopefully tomorrow a delivery from Align-Trex and Fast Lad so I can re-build my 500...

Recieved the .4 solder i ordered, but not the fet for mpx, RS say they have been despatched, but the tracking number provided for parcel force does not work just ordered some more from the BAY, bet i get those first lol
