  • NICK MAXWELL joins team Thunder tiger!!!!

I never thought this would happen, Very nice flying tho and hope it works out for him

Team Thunder Tiger America is proud to announce that Nick Maxwell has signed on to fly Thunder Tiger helicopters! Nick’s R/C piloting credentials stretch back to 1993, when he began flying airplanes at the age of four. Six years later he tried R/C helicopters — and now, in his early 20s, Nick is widely considered to be among the world’s very best heli pilots. He has a long list of noteworthy accomplishments to back up that claim, including: • 3D Masters Champion
    • 2011 F3C World Team Member
    • Vegas Cup Champion
    • 3-Time XFC Podium Finisher
    • 2-Time IRCHA Night Fly Champion
    • 2-Time World Cup Heli Champion
    • 4-Time E-Fest Smackdown Winner
Besides impressing contest judges, Nick has strengthened his R/C resume by holding 3D heli clinics, performing international flying demonstrations, and supplying several well-known heli manufacturers with expert product testing. Nick has been a professional pilot for the last four years and is equally at home flying F3C and hard-core 3D. Thunder Tiger America looks forward to working with Nick as he demonstrates the capabilities of Thunder Tiger machines all over the world.

Team Thunder Tiger America pilot Nick Maxwell proves that there’s no aerobatic challenge too great for the Raptor G4 E720 — this 700-size machine is equally capable of flying smack-style 3D or dominating F3C at the World Championships. Designed by past FAI World Champion Shigetada Taya, the Raptor G4 E720 weighs in at 8.27 pounds flight-ready. That’s about a pound less than comparable models, which contributes to the agility demonstrated here. Other advantages include a Quick Calibration System for easy set-up; motor and battery positioning that improves balance; and a helical main gear for efficient torque transfer. Nick’s fellow team pilots are equally enthusiastic about the Raptor G4 E720. Gary Wright reports that it’s “by far the smoothest and most quiet machine I’ve ever flown.” Adds Todd Bennett, “I am very impressed. It’s a complete joy to own.”
    Good Luck Nick!

I recall that Alan Szabo flew Raptor 90's at 3d masters in 2005,,,
Things might have been a bit different I think, if he had stayed with them, after all, he did have a hand in some of Align's designs.
