Spektrum Glitch

Heya,

Had an odd one today.. With all this talk of Spektrum issues.. I experianced one today.

Flying around... hovering with a slight piro.. and then I lose full control, nothing worked for around 10 seconds. Luckily is just sat there.. and then I had full control back again, I landed to find the usual lights blinking at me.. But what's odd is that I had fail safe set? So I turned off both Rx and Tx and back on again.. All linked up fine.. Then I turned off the Tx.. and Indeed, the collective and engine throttle do cut...

So what gives?

if you had blinking lights Callum you had a full power loss...hence no fail safe

Hmm, that's what I thought, But the Gyro was still compensating etc, aswell as the servos being powered? Surely if it was less than second long power off and the Rx reboots it will go straight into failsafe due to no signal from the Tx? Since my Rx has no quick connect patch..

If i remember correctly.. the Quick Connect Update will store the last channels used for fast reconnect.. While the older non quick connect scans for the channels and then binds itself to the Tx.

"quick connect" means once power came back you should have had almost instant control. fail safe only occurs if the rx can not find a signal. gyro and servos powered?? thats a puzzler though?

Yeah, Just refreshed my memory on the Spekky Site..

All the wires are good, connections are good, The battery is good, I flew it numerous times after though.. But still, it's now on my mind..

I love the way people think Futaba gear doesn't fail. Should speak to the guy I was buddying for at Hop Farm during the jet slot when his F-16 went in due to a fault with his 12FG. It's almost getting boring, any problem, must be the Spektrum gear.

I'd definitely be checking anything to with the rx power source.
