My 1st model was a Precedent Hi-Boy which taught me to fly planks when I was about 12. This was crashed during the 1st season and replaced with a 2nd one (which I still have and occasionally fly - trusty enya ss40 up front).

1st heli was a Kyosho Nexus ss30 with an OS32

Less interesting is that I bought the Nexus in 2000 I think it was, the Raptor was bought in 2004 to replace it (just too much slop in the Nexus but it taught the basics) and then bought the 450Pro in Dec 2009 (i think it was!) but didnt build that until March last year. So been flying helis for 11 years and planks for 26 years... time flies...

First RC model was a Veron Mini-Robot, single-channel, rubber driven sequential escapement, and TeeDee 049 up front! I had one successful flight with it! On the second, the escapement skipped, and I held on "right" thinking it was "left" until the wings folded!

Next model was a "Sharkface", with an Elmic Compact escapement. (One press for right, two for left!). Brilliant little model that I had many hours of fun with!

First heli was a Morley 2B, built from plans! It took me about 6 months to learn to carve a set of rotor blades efficient enough to get it in the air....!

No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery.

My first Heli was a MFA Hughes 500 Fixed pitch. This would have been mid to late 80's.

Then a CP version of the above with an Irvine 36 in it.

                          Then a Shuttle ZX

First plank was a President HiBoy followed by the legendary Wot4 (I still have one)

First plank was a kyosho new yamomoto (spelling) with acoms 4 channel rc and a thunder tiger 40 , loved it crashed it ( a lot ) then swapped it for a glider and a half build inferno mp5.5 , then sold all that for a kyosho concept 30 , then gave up for years and got back into heli's early last year
                            Cheers Al
