Well I got two nerve wracking flights in yesterday. I left the training gear at home....
On my first hover, I piro'd the heli slightly nose left to check the fuel level. Thought I saw 5mm of fuel still in the tank, kept going.. Suddently the engine rev's shot up. I recognised it was leaning out and put her down in a hurry!
The lesson I learnt from this? Check the fuel level with a piro to the right, not left. If you piro left your muffler casts a shadow on the tank, making it look like you have fuel in, when the tank is BONE DRY!
Yikes! At least I got her down ok...
I have found the gov is no longer working. 1 magnet missing from my fan, Maybe thats why the tail was misbehaving a little from vibs(???), and the gyro sensor has been demolished! DOH DOH!
Oh well.. Metal fan and magnets to be ordered and a new gov sensor... ~£20
Still had fun though!!!!
2 tanks through her, I guess it's time to start leaning her out a little?????? Currently 1.5 turns on the mixture screw....
