Gents Christmas is on its ways ! Ben Varley as you know is out of the heli scene and usually runs a Christmas raffle, I have spoken to Ben and he has agreed to let me carry this on. I hope everybody is ok with this .
Over the next few weeks starting today I will be contacting all those “wealthy” helicopter shops who love to donate prizes for charity etc and see what I canget . Or if you are a heli shop or a related industry please drop me a PM ..
Tickets will be available as from today and the prizes will be drawn on the day after Boxing Day .
Hopefully this this year we can make it as successful as the last few years.
Times we know are hard and still the sponsors of this event donate to this what has now become a tradition here on RCHA. Please spare what you can to make this even more of a success than last year. Whatever we raise is great as the cause it is going to will help us all at some point in our lives. Please, lets make this the best one yet and with that list of prizes donated from companies not only around the UK no more, but also from other companies around the world it goes to show just how far this is reaching people now.
Without the support of these companies it would not be happening on this scale so I can't thank them enough.
So, to the details.
The tickets will go on sale now and are priced at £5 each or 5 for £20 exactly the same as last year as this worked out very well I felt.100% of the money raised will go to Cancer Research UK. All the winners will be chosen using an online random number generator on the day after Boxing day or as soon as possible afterwards for obvious reasons.
There will not be a limit on the numbers of tickets sold as I will instead place a time limit on which will be 12:00pm Midnight on Christmas eve so this gives agood amount of time for all to see and hopefully buy a ticket.

Anyone can take part, from anywhere in the world. You only need to be a member on RCHA. Please share this on Facebook and shout to the world, tell your friends and everyone.
The way in which to choose a ticket will be the order that you post in, so for example if you are the first post you will just simply say how many tickets yourequire, if you ask for 2 you will be given the next available numbers, in this case it will be 1 and 2. Then the next person will come along and say " I also would like 2 please" they will then be given 3 and 4 and so on and soon.
There is no limit on how many tickets you can buy or how many times you can buy. A number of members last year brought mulitple tickets at different times so help yourself again.
Payment is to be sent the same as we have done every year and that is to my paypal account. This is done as you do not need a paypal account to send money via paypal, just go to www.paypal.co.uk and you can send money to any email address. The email to send you payment tois robbarnes1964@gmail.com

This is so I know exactly who has paid and where the money has come from. It is extremely time consuming trying to chase down who sent some funds with no names as your emails are not always obvious as to who they are from so please, this year all include this info in the title.
The last raffle raised £3700 So this year with the bumper prize fund and many more members I dont think we should not be able to at least match this. Once you see the prizes I think you'll agree and hopefully buy a few more extra tickets Please put a little towards this great cause and see if we can smash last years total.
